(Optional Installation)

Hi there!

I want to mention an optional VM that you can install for the course. The VM is Metasploitable 3 which is a purposely vulnerable virtual machine that you can use to test the tools and programs that we create. If you have a different target/machine that you want to test on, feel free to do so, metasploitable 3 is just an optional installation to have if you want to perform tests the same way I do inside the course. Other machines/targets will do just as good for the course!

However If you do want Metasploitable 3, there are 2 versions of Metasploitable 3, Linux and Windows version. Feel free to install both of them to have more variety for testing! You can find the link for Metasploitable 3 with installation guide right here: https://github.com/rapid7/metasploitable3
