Adjusting Lecture Video Settings (video below)
You can adjust the settings for lecture videos in any course by clicking on the gear icon from within any lecture:
- Autoplay - When toggled, the first video lectures will automatically begin playing when you enter the lecture (this is applied by default).
- Autocomplete - When toggled, lectures will automatically be marked as complete when you finish the video (this is applied by default).
- Player - This allows you to select the type video player (HTML 5 or Flash) that you want to use while viewing lecture videos.
- Speed - This allows you to select the speed at which you want the lecture videos to play.
Downloading Lecture Content (video below)
For a majority of lectures, you have the option to download the content. If content is downloadable, it will be denoted with a paper clip symbol. Click on the download link to download the content. Depending on your browser settings, the file will either download directly to your computer, or a new browser tab will open, where you can download the file to your computer.
Subtitles for the course are available for download so you can use them with your favourite media player for downloaded lectures (not available for online). Simply download the zip file below to get the entire course subtitles.
If you have a media player such as VLC installed on your computer, open the video with VLC (then click the ‘Subtitle’ menu at the top of the VLC window and select ‘Add Subtitle File…’ and then browse to the folder you downloaded below which will have the stored .vtt file for each lecture and select it and click the [Open] button.
